Today we used the google chrome store, and I explored the games category. There werer so many choices and I had a hard time picking one, but they were all fun. here is the link
I followed these five pages, because the are all things that interest me, and I enjoy. Google+ allows you to interact much like many other popular social media websites. However, unlike many other websites you can follow big companies, your friends, and best of all you can use plus to sign in to your other accounts, so as long as you're signed into google you will always be singed into all your accounts.
Today we used Flowers2Mail. Flowers2Mail is a site that lets you create a custom flower arrangement and sent an E-gift. Here's my arrangement, go try it for yourself!
This past week we have been looking at Diigo. Diigo is very similar to Evernote. You can bookmark pages, and save them in folders, and categories. You can also add sticky notes to pages, and highlight your favorite text. Diigo is a very useful website, when resarching and discovering things. There are also Diigo Groups, where it is just as bunch of people discuss the subject of the group. You can check out my group here. Diigo is an awesome webtool that many people could have uses for.
The last two class periods we've been exploring Evernote, and all of it's features. Evernote is a site that allows you to create and store notes/images/documents/files. The application is very similar to Google Docs, however I personally like Evernote a little bit more. You can create folders, and tag items so you can locate them quickly. To get the full use of Evernote, I would strongly recommend getting the Evernote clipper. You can save websites, and paragraphs with the click of a button. This is a great product for students when writing research papers, or someone that researching a product.
Today in class we used two different editing websites, to edit photos. The first site we visited was FotoFlexer. FotoFlexer had a lot of great features for being free. This site was fairly easy to use, but lacked in appearance. The site was just all together kind of boring, but the features were great! The next site we visited was piZap. While piZap didn't have as many features as FotoFlexer I preferred it more. The site was pleasing to the eye, and it felt more user friendly. Both sites were free, and you could also make an account.
